A new service aimed at providing online advertising space for small and medium-sized businesses has been launched, according to ClickZ.

The website reports that AdReady will target these businesses, as well as some larger local or regional businesses, to allow them to create display advertising based on a range of templates.

It is hoped that the new technology will allow smaller companies to alter advertisements using licensed images as well as giving them the option to upload their own logos and images.

Rob Ransom, vice president of marketing and products at AdReady, said the new service will give more options to those who feel that they are currently unable to make the most of internet marketing campaigns.

"These advertisers have basically found display to be a black box they really haven’t been able to access," he told the website.

Last week Jack Wallington, programmes manager for the Internet Advertising Bureau, said that small businesses looking to improve their online presence should consider professional advice.
