Google contest is offering businesses the chance to win advertising on TV and the internet.

Businesses looking to expand the reach of their marketing efforts might want to enter Google’s second annual TV for All competition.

The inaugural contest saw 250 firms showcase their creativity in using online marketing services like video to catch the attention of potential customers.

This year will see three winners awarded $25,000 (£16,043), $15,000 and $10,000 worth of advertising via Google TV Ads and the search engine’s partner sites, such as YouTube.

Brands interested in entering the competition need to create a video ad for their firm and submit it to the TV for All YouTube channel before October 12th.

George Karavaras of last year’s winner said: “It’s always exciting to see what other marketers think of your work.”

Google added the contest is also a good opportunity for companies that have never attempted video advertising to try their hand at this emerging channel.

According to research by BrightRoll, 56 per cent of marketers rate online video as the most effective form of advertising.
